Vancouver Canadians split series against the Eugene Emeralds

May 26, 2026 the Vancouver Canadians began their 6 game series against the top seeded Eugene Emeralds. As always this homestand was filled with events and giveaways to celebrate The Nats 75 anniversary. On Tuesday night they gave out Vancouver Mountie pennants, while Thursday was Dog Days of Summer, where fans could bring their dogs to watch the game. 

Game one of the series moved quickly with neither team scoring runs until the bottom of the third, where the Canadians brought in 1 run in the inning. They would go on to score a second run in the bottom of the fourth, with Carter Cunningham stealing home after a missed play. 

The final run of the game came in the bottom of the sixth with Cunningham hitting his tenth home run of the season. Securing the Canadians a 3-0 victory to start the series. 

The Emeralds would go on to win the following 2 games, the first with a 10-7 victory and the second with a 5-2 victory. However, the Canadians would secure their second win of the series in game 3 with a score of 7-3.

Saturday’s game started strong for the Canadians with Jacob Sharp scoring a home run in the bottom of the first. The Canadians got another run on the board in the bottom of the fourth with a single hit from Manny Beltre that brought in Cunningham.  

In the bottom of the sixth Dub Gleed landed a 3 run home run, bringing the score to 5-0, but the Emeralds would not be counted out. 

In the top of the seventh they would produce 4 runs to put the score 5-4 going into the final innings, however, the Canadians were able to hold the lead and secure their third win of the series. 

Sunday’s game the Canadians looked for the win to take the series. However, the Emeralds fought back for a win and split the series 3-3.  

The Vancouver Canadians will be back at The Nat on June 9 to 14 where they face off against the Everett Aquasox.
