Vancouver Canadians split home stand with Tri-City Dust Devils

The Vancouver Canadians started their second home stand hot, after coming off a two game win streak against the Spokane Indians. The Canadians won the away series 4-2 and hoped to continue the momentum back home against the Tri-City Dust Devils. 


April 21, 2026 marked the first game of the home stand between these two teams and the Canadians wasted no time scoring 3 runs in the first inning. 


The game moved quickly and the Canadians  scored another 2 runs in the bottom of the third. Giving them a 5-0 lead heading into the fourth inning, where they would secure another 7 runs. 


The Dust Devils finally got their first run of the night in the top of the fifth. But the Canadians would continue to run up the score board with another 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth. 


Both teams scored in the seventh, the Dust Devils with 2 and the Canadians with 1. 


The energy was high going into the final 2 innings, however, neither team scored. Ending the game 16-3 for the Canadians.  


The Canadians continued their win streak securing a 2-0 victory on Wednesday and a 5-3 win on Thursday. However, the Dust Devils wouldn’t go down without a fight and got their first win on the series on Friday with a 3-0 win in the tenth inning. Saturday also went to the Dust Devils with a late comeback securing them a 3-2 win. 


The final game of the series looked to be in the Canadians favour, with them scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth. However, the Dust Devils came back at the top of the seventh scoring 7 runs to put the game 7-3 going into the final two innings. 


The Canadians looked for a comeback in the bottom of the eighth securing 2 runs to make the game 7-5. 


However, the Dust Devils wanted the win, securing a final 2 runs at the top of the ninth, and the Canadians would secure no runs. Ending the game 9-5 for the Dust Devils. 


The series finished in a 3-3 split, and the Dust Devils ended the Canadians win streak at 5. 


The Vancouver Canadians are back in action on Tuesday, April 28, at 7 pm, PST at Nat Bailey Stadium, where they take on the Hillsboro Hops.
